Porn app ID theft warning

HUNDREDS of porn apps for Android phones are riddled with dodgy software, experts claim.

Many of the apps to watch hardcore action which are available on the Google Play store could be masking vicious malware.

But be warned – they can lock you out of your phone and steal your identity.

Dell security researcher Alex Dubrovsky has witnessed these so-called “lock screen apps” and explained that the people behind them are using porn to spread them.

He warned: “We have found over a 100 different apps that contain this malware and suspect that the authors behind the apps are gearing up for a much larger, more deadly assault.

“This campaign is still in its early stages and will evolve over time.”
