Hollyoak Dan joins Strictly!

GRABBED: Daband HOLLYOAKS star Danny Mac has been named as the seventh contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 28-year-old actor will join sexy pop babe Louise Redknap and TV presenter Laura Whitmore on the BBC show.

Danny ( above), who played Mark Savage on the show, said: “I’m as terrified as I am excited! I’ve done a few bits and bobs of secret filming for the show and it’s all become very real now.

“I can’t believe I’m now part of the biggest show on television. I can’t wait to get started.

A professional actor since the age of 10, Danny starred in the multi-award winning West End production of Wicked for four years.

He joined Hollyoaks in 2011 and spent four years on the C4 soap, earning a nomination at the National Television Awards for Best Newcomer, Most Popular Newcomer, and Best Serial Drama Performance.
