Shamed Lochte goes dancing
UNDER-FIRE U.S. swimmer Ryan Lochte has tried to draw a line under his antics at the Rio Olympics by confirming he will be one of the contestants on reality show
In a TV interview Lochte refused to say whether he will return to Brazil to face a charge of filing a false police report over a filling station encounter during the Olympics.
He said his legal team is dealing with the situation, adding: “We’re just trying to get this over with.”
Lochte admits he lied about having a gun held to his head at a Rio de Janeiro garage, where he and three other U.S. swimmers had stopped to use a toilet.
Lochte said he has offered to reimburse fellow swimmer James Feigen for an £8,000 fine Feigen paid to resolve legal issues at the time and be able to leave Brazil.
