On-run girls asks cops for new mugshot

A WOMAN allegedly on the run from police has caused a social media storm after she asked a TV station to use a “better photo” of her when reporting her escape.

Teenager Amy Sharp ( above) is alleged to have broken out of a police station on Friday, August 19, before running away.

Police issued a statement accompanied by two photographs they had taken of the 18-year-old in a bid to find the youngster.

The pictures and statement were put on onto Sydney’s 7 News Facebook page – and the first person to comment on the Australian station’s story and the photos was Amy herself.

Unhappy with how she looked in the police mugshots she uploaded a more flattering shot in the comments section of the page with a simple request: “Can you use this photo please, thank you. Yours Amy Sharp XX”

She was later caught not far from Surry Hills, where she escaped, and is expected to be charged. MOST astronauts become two inches taller in space
