TV TITCH IN ‘SEXIST’ ROW OVER HOT HELEN

WINNING: Titchmarsh reckons Helen has the lot GREEN-fingered presenter Alan Titchmarsh has sparked a sexist row after “praising” Olympic pin-up Helen Skelton for flaunting her ASSETS on screen.

The 67-year-old telly star reckons Countryfile babe Helen is UNBEATABLE with her winning combination of good looks and talent for presenting.

Helen became a sex symbol thanks to her saucy outfit choices at the Rio Olympics last month and Yorkshireman Alan admitted he has no problem with the blonde beauty flashing the flesh.

He said: “If her professional skill is good and you combine that with looking good, what an unbeatable combination. Good luck to her. She is making the most of her assets, intellectual and physical. I have no problem with that. I think it’s rather fun.”

Alan went on to claim that women peak much earlier than men when it comes to their careers on screen.

He said: “They say once women reach the age of whatever, they start disappearing from screens.

“My observation is that for women their prime is at the younger end, while for me their prime can be at the older end.”

His comments came under fire from those who said the former Blue Peter presenter needs no endorsement from Alan.

A source close to Helen, 33, said: “I’m sure he means well but Helen doesn’t need a gardener to tell her she’s good at what she does.”
