DID TRUMP AND PUTIN POISON HILLARY?
THE doctor portrayed in a hit film by actor Will Smith has come up with a bizarre theory that US Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton may have been poisoned – by rival Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin!
Bennet Omalu, who discovered a common brain injury among deceased American football players and was the subject of the movie Concussion starring Smith, made the suggestion on Twitter.
He said: “I must advise the Clinton campaign to perform toxicologic analysis of Mrs Clinton’s blood. It is possible she is being poisoned.”
Then, in a second tweet, he added: “I do not trust Mr Putin and Mr Trump. With those two all things are possible.’
Warning
While Dr Omalu’s warning sounds a little far-fetched – and was treated with more than a bit of scepticism in the replies – Russian leader Putin has previously been accused of having his adversaries poisoned. And an inquiry in January implicated Putin in the death of Alexander Litvinenko, a former KGB operative, in 2006.
Hillary Clinton’s health was thrust into the spotlight at the weekend after she had to leave the 9/11 memorial ceremony at Ground Zero before it finished.
A video showed her stumbling and struggling to stand by herself as her security detail attempted to physically support her.
Her doctor later announced that she was suffering from pneumonia, but had since recovered.
