Fury at axed Corrie star is still on show

-

CORRIE fans have expressed outrage that disgraced soap actor Marc Anwar continued to appear in the soap this week, despite being sacked for making racist comments.

The 45-year-old ( above), who called Indians in a Twitter rant on Friday, was back onscreen playing lovecheat Sharif Nazir during Monday night’s episode on ITV.

Furious fans branded the decision “really painful watching”, while one viewer even called it “the Sharif show” as they criticised the amount of screen time he was given.

Mr Anwar’s tweets on Friday night have cost him his job on Coronation Street, and bosses are now having to re-write scripts up until Christmas after his sacking.

He had referred to Indians as killers and suggested on Twitter that Pakistanis should refuse to work in their country.

But one Twitter fan suggested: “Why doesn’t #Corrie just get a new guy in to do this sacked Marc Anwar guy’s scenes?” HAMSTERS run up to eight miles at night on a wheel
