Alton Towers £5m let-off

IF you ask me, Alton Towers have got off pretty lightly with a £5 million fine.

Two young girls lost their legs and 14 other people were injured in the horrific Smiler ride crash.

The judge had said the fine could be anything up to £10m, so why did he only go up to half of that in the end?

Accidents do happen in life and I hope that these findings and Alton Tower’s admission of guilt helps the victims come to terms with what happened and to move on with their lives.
