SEX FORUM Could you live to regret casual bonks?

A CONTROVERSIAL new study reckons ONE-NIGHT STANDS could be BAD for your health.

More than half of us will shag someone we barely know in the near future, with more than 80 per cent bonking strangers at university.

And while previous studies have found that sex sessions can improve cardiovascular health, reduce depression and boost the immune system, the same can’t be said for hopping into bed with just anyone.

According to the findings of a new survey, researchers have revealed that casual hook-ups could actually be linked to feelings of low self-esteem and sexual regret.

But while men tend to have remorse over the shagging they DIDN’T do, women are more likely to regret their one-night stands.

The study was carried out by Canadian experts who quizzed 200 students with experience of casual romps about their feelings.

And while the majority of the participants did admit to feeling some form of regret, which could lead to problems later, the evidence to suggest romping with random people actually damages your health it was not fully established.

More than a quarter of women in the survey confessed they felt much more confident in themselves after a hook-up, compared with half of blokes.

We asked Midweek Sport scorcher Alice Bennett, 19, about her own experiences of casual sex and the 34B stunna reckons there’s no harm in getting off with a stranger.

Alice, from Cambridge, said she has romped with a few guys just hours after meeting them and told us she wouldn’t rule out doing it again in the future, despite the new findings.

She said: “One-night stands are never as good as sex with someone you love, but when you’re single then I don’t see what the harm is.

“So long as no-one is taking advantage or anything like that, and it’s between two consenting adults, then I don’t see what the big deal is with having one-night stands.

“Some of the best sex I’ve had has been with someone I’ve just met as there is no awkwardness, especially if I know I won’t have to see them again.

“It’s just pure no-strings-attached passion!”
