Headless corpse charge
A MAN is due to appear in court next month charged with murder after the discovery of a badly-burned headless corpse in a lay-by.
Ming Jiang, 42, from the Beswick area of Manchester, is accused of murdering 36-year-old Yang Liu, of Salford Quays, between October 5 and 10 in Manchester.
The remains were discovered in parking area off the A628 to the east of Tintwistle, Derbyshire, police said.
Jiang, who was not present for a brief hearing on Tuesday at Nottingham Crown Court, will next appear on November 21. His case will be heard at either Nottingham or Manchester Crown Court.
