Skylander tops Xmas wish list

THE latest instalment in the toys-to-life video games franchise Skylander has been named top of this year’s Christmas wish list in a vote by kids.

The £49 Skylanders Imaginators allows players to create their own virtual character for the first time in the series, sending it to the top of the Top Toys for Xmas list at the ToyTesters.tv Awards.

Hatchimals, the toys that hatch out of an egg and can be taught to walk, talk, dance and play games, is runner-up on the list, priced at £60, while the £59.99 Nerf Modulus Tri-Strike Blaster came third.

Rounding off the top five are the Play-Doh Ice Cream Castle (£19.99), the Air Storm Firetek Bow (£29.99) and Anki Overdrive Supertrucks (£59.99).

A spokesman said: “The ToyTesters.tv Awards give children the opportunity to have a voice, because when it comes to favourite toys, children often have very different choices to adults.

“The winning toys have been well received from both boys and girls of all age groups.”
