Council’s lesbo recycling poll
CHARLOTTE CROSBY
LESBIANS living in Suffolk had to disclose their sexuality in a council survey about RECYCLING.
Residents were baffled when the questionnaire, issued by Suffolk County Council, asked them to reveal their sexual orientation.
The survey was aimed to gather opinions on the opening hours and layout of the council’s recycling centres.
But locals were also asked to state their age, race, religion – and whether they are straight or gay.
In a statement, the council said: “SCC understands that you may feel these questions are intrusive and highly personal.
“The information you submit is voluntary but it does make a difference.”
