Ed Balls: Strictly wrecked my sex life!
FORMER politician Ed Balls has admitted sex is STRICTLY off limits as he’s TOO KNACKERED to shag his wife.
The unlikely star of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing said he’s so tired from training for the BBC dance show he can’t bring himself to bonk wife – fellow MP Yvette Cooper.
Ex-Shadow Chancellor Ed, 49, has been repeatedly saved by viewers despite his desperate dancing attempts.
However, he said his sex life has taken a hit due to his Strictly success, which has left him exhausted.
Asked about how the show had affected his sex life he said: “To be honest, I’ve been exhausted for about two months.
“It would be fair to say it’s very tiring, this Strictly thing. You get home in the evenings and you’re exhausted.”
Ed survived again at the weekend and will next waltz to Psy’s dance hit Gangnam Style next week, in a bid to secure a place in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom final.
Bookmakers had Ed as the first celebrity to be booted off the show, but he’s survived every week so far, with much more talented dancers being booted off.
But he vowed not to follow in John Sergeant’s footsteps, who walked away from the BBC1 show in 2008.
Ed, who performs with professional dancer Katya Jones, 27, said: “I won’t do a John Sergeant. The show has moved on.
“It’s been years since John, and I think people expect more. I don’t compare myself to him – or Ann Widdecombe – I’m definitely not a pantomime act.
“We’re not trying to mock the dancing, we’re working hard and taking risks, and the public can see that.
“People pay money to phone up and vote for Katya and myself. For me to override that and say, ‘I know better, I’m leaving,’ would be disrespectful.”
