SEX FORUM It’s true – after 7 years she’ll be itching to leave

-

IF you’re in a relationship watch out – because a new study has shown the Seven Year Itch is REAL.

The common myth says couples in a relationship lose interest in each other after seven years together.

Now a survey has now shown the old wives’ tale to be true, as women’s lust levels towards their partner HALVE after seven years.

Researchers from the University of Turku in Finland polled a group of women aged between 18 and 33.

They quizzed them in 2006 and again in 2013 and found that those who were in the same relationship in 2013 were had a libido 53 per cent lower than in 2006.

However, women who were either with another man or were single had a much higher sex drive.

Lead author of the survey, Annika Gunst, said: “The most pronounced observation for sexual desire was that women who were in the same relationship throughout the observation period had the greatest decrease in sexual desire.”

Women who had a different partner at the end of the study than at the beginning suffered a 28 per cent drop in sex drive, but those who were single were just as horny.

Although the study showed that libido dropped as the relationship went on, researchers believe age could be a factor.

Another author said that their study was also “showing that desire problems increase with age”.

Midweek Sport stunna Alyssa Callow said: “It’s a well-known fact that most relationships lose some spark in the bedroom after a while.

“It’s all brand new and exciting at the beginning and things such as boredom, stress, arguments and kids can change the sex.

“The key is to switch it up for each other, introduce new things like roleplay and toys or try new positions.

“If I ever think my man doesn’t want as much sex as me I just put on my sexiest underwear and heels and perform a sexy striptease for him – and it works every time!”

The Seven Year Itch was made popular by the 1955 film of the same name starring Marilyn Monroe.
