Drunk pair romped in public
A WOMAN who took part in a lesbian romp on a bench in a public park has escaped jail.
Martina Loosemore stripped off her lower clothing and started touching another woman.
Police were called by onlookers who saw Loosemore and her friend, Anita Hare, having sex on a sunny afternoon in July at Pilton Park in Barnstaple, Devon.
Officers found the two drunken women on the ground performing sex acts on each other with their shorts off, Exeter Crown Court was told.
Stupid
Martina Loosemore, 31, admitted outraging public decency and was jailed for three months, suspended for two years and ordered to undertake an alcohol rehabilitation course.
Anita Hare, 45, also of Barnstaple, has been dealt with separately by the town’s magistrates.
Judge Graham Cottle told Loosemore: “You have come as close as you will want to be to going to prison. If I see you again, that is where you will go.
“You had a stupid, feckless attitude to life when you committed this offence. You were drunk and behaved in a quite disgusting way. It is utterly deserving of custody.”
Gordon Richings, prosecuting, said that when police arrived “they quickly stopped and pulled up their clothing.”
He added: “They were arrested. The women were both drunk. Loosemore became emotional when she was interviewed and said she had never felt so embarrassed.
“She said they had a few drinks and one thing led to another.”
