APPALLED: Sheriff Bob Gualtieri ( fired Deputy Scott Nichols after learning of his flings on duty A RANDY police officer was sacked after BONKING two female officers while he was on duty.

Scott Nichols lost his job after bosses uncovered his steamy flings with the pair of married female colleagues, as well as other inappropriate behaviour.

Despite being married himself, the 32-year-old met one of the women, Deputy Ashley Wheatley, in an empty room at the Pinellas County Jail, in Florida, on several occasions.

And CCTV footage showed the couple would sometimes sneak off for up to an hour at a time, while they were both on the clock.

A police source said: “It was no secret among the staff what Nichols was getting up to – everyone knew that if you couldn’t find him, he was probably going at it in one of the spare rooms.

“Sometimes it would be more than once during his shift!”

Nichols was initially demoted from the rank of Corporal to Deputy and handed a lengthy suspension, before being fired by Sheriff Bob Gualtieri (left) after it emerged he let his staff sleep at work.

Gualtieri said: “It was appalling and very disappointing.

“The sleeping is a big deal. They shouldn’t be sleeping.

“They’re getting paid to do a job – they need to do the job.

“Given the totality of this and his overall conduct, he doesn’t need to work here anymore.”

After the affairs were uncovered, investigators then found pictures and video footage on Nichols’s mobile phone showing other officers’ misconduct, under the watchful eye of Nichols.

One of the photos showed a deputy lying on the ground after being ‘choked out’ by another colleague.

He even sent the incriminating evidence to his superior officer, Sgt Michael Smith, who was also suspended for 56 hours after failing to intervene.

Over the course of several months, Nichols was found to have allowed eight detention deputies to play games, sleep and wrestle on the job.
