Woman dies in charity box

-

A WOMAN has died after getting her arm caught in a clothing donation drop-off box.

Judith Permar, 56, suffered a combination of trauma injuries as well as hypothermia in the accident, a coroner said.

Ms Permar, from Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, used a stool to reach into the bin and her left arm became stuck when the stool collapsed. She broke her left arm and wrist and could not get free and her feet could not touch the ground.

Investigators believe Ms Permar – who was described as short – went to the charity drop-off at about 2am on Sunday.

She was found dead more than six hours later.

The drop box is located along a remote stretch of highway in Natalie, a tiny village.

Verdict: Accident.
