Chicken shop lout’s pythgon attack threat

-

A LOUT who threatened to use his pet python as a weapon has been banned from a chicken shop.

Anthony Dando ( 30, appeared before JPs and pleaded guilty to harassment after he threatened staff at a takeaway in Newcastle with the snake.

The court heard that on November 9 last year Dando entered Dixy Chicken and asked for a warm blanket for his snake, telling the manager, “It’s a cold blooded animal”.

He was told there was no blanket and was asked to leave as customers were looking scared of the python wrapped around Dando’s wrist.

The court was told Dando threatened to throw the snake at the manager. His defence said he had never intended to carry out the threat.

The case was adjourned until February 28 with Dando on conditional bail.
