CROONER Gary Barlow has landed himself an acting gig in the new

movie. The 46-year-old pop star broke the news on breakfast TV this week and confirmed he’s filmed scenes for the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie.

Take That frontman Gary told showbiz reporter Ross King that he will star in Episode VIII on an interview for ITV’s Lorraine.

He revealed: “I’m not a Stormtrooper, but I am in it.

“Now I’ve said that, I’ll probably be out.

“I think the Star Wars people are so strict about what information is out there.

“So me saying that, I’ve probably just done myself out of a role!”

Rumours have been rife that Gary would make a cameo in one of the Star Wars films after he was spotted at Pinewood studios last year.

The Rule The World singer won’t be the first celebrity to have bagged a role in the sci-fi films, as Daniel Craig appeared as a Stormtrooper in Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
