SEX TEACHER: HEROIN MADE ME BONK BOY, 14
A FEMALE teacher who admitted having sex with a 14-year-old pupil blames her actions on her HEROIN addiction.
Stephanie Amato, who slept with the lad at least 10 times, pleaded guilty to having a sexual relationship with a student, corruption of a minor and child endangerment.
Affair
The 33-year-old mum was accused of having sex with the teenager at her home and in her car.
DNA tests also showed she made out with the victim on her parents’ sofa during the affair which lasted several months.
During sentencing, Amato, who has a seven-month old son, told the court: “I truly feel that I do not believe this would have occurred if it were not for drugs.”
She tearfully apologised to her family and the victim for hurting them.
Amato, who taught at Ethan Allen Elementary School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, chose her special education student for nookie because “she thought she would never get caught out.
She allegedly warned the teen: “You know I can get arrested if you tell.”
But the teen eventually did tell and Amato was removed from the school.
The boy’s dad said at the time: “I was very upset. She took my kid’s youth and I really want justice to take care of this woman.”
His son “felt humiliated” and refused to go to school.
Before turning herself in to the police in June 2014, Amato posted online photos of her with her students.
Fingers
Several boys in her car posed with their middle fingers up in one snap, while she captioned another: “My fave students!”
Amato’s drug habit started back in 2010 with painkillers for “recreational use,” said her lawyer Trevan Borum.
But she was snorting heroin every day by the time she was arrested after she had relapsed twice following specialist treatment.
Judge Jeffrey Minehart jailed Amato for a minimum of 11 months.
