IT’S the hottest DVD in the charts right now – and it’s the perfect gift for Father’s Day on Sunday!

The Hatton Garden Job had already broken download records since it was released in April – now the DVD, which came out this week, is the fasting selling new release of the year.

And the story of one of the most daring and audacious crime capers in British criminal history is a perfect present for dads everywhere this weekend.

The movie – about the burglary that made headlines round the world – is the most explosive and exciting British crime thriller ever made.

Forget the rest. The Hatton Garden Job raises the bar to a whole new level, thanks to its irresistible blend of the daring scheme, tense action, A-list stars and a sprinkling of humour. It’s got the lot.

Classic

Former EastEnders stars Larry Lamb and Phil Daniels join Matthew Goode and Joely Richardson in the all-star cast. It’s a classic that will appeal to people of all ages and it’s certain to be talked about for years.

Over one Easter weekend two years ago, four old school career criminal OAPs burrowed their way into the safe deposit vault of in London’s Hatton Garden district and scarpered with more than £200million worth of swag.

The ageing East End criminals – led by 76-year-old Brian Reader – went down an old lift shaft and, with an industrial drill normally used when laying pipelines, they bored holes in the side of the vault.

The film, in which Larry plays Reader and Phil stars as his right hand man Danny Jones, focuses on the planning of the heist, the daring raid itself and the gang’s attempts to keep one step ahead of the various organisations chasing after them following the theft.

With everyone from the Hungarian mob to Scotland Yard on their tail, these old-school – and just plain old – villains set about achieving the seemingly impossible, the perfect robbery.

This is classic British crime caper movie, a mixture of tense action, charm and a healthy dose of corrupt coppers that brings back fond memories of great movies like the Lavender Hill Mob, The Italian Job and The Sweeney.
