PORNHUB celebrated its 10th birthday last week and now more than 75 MILLION of us visit their site every day.

The world’s 44th most popular website launched in 2007 but now boasts an extensive collection of more than 10 million skin flicks.

Which means there’s more than 1.5 million hours’ worth of porn to enjoy on the site!

A new survey by PornHub has revealed how porn-watching habits have developed over their 10-year history and the unusual searches which spike when worldwide events suddenly unfold.

Users spend, on average, nine minutes browsing through nine pages of the site.

But when it launched in 2007, people were much more curious and spent around 14 minutes flicking through 13 pages online.

These days, the average visitor spends four minutes less than visitors in 2007 did and browse fewer pages as well.

Despite the number of videos and hours of content increasing, the amount of time visitors spend on PornHub has actually decreased.

The survey explains the decrease in time spent on their site: “The worldwide penetration of broadband internet has grown considerably in that time, so faster loading means less waiting,”

In 2007, just 134 hours’ worth of content was uploaded to the site but last year a whopping 476,291 hours of X-rated porn was made available on PornHub.

Since its launch in 2007, the site has seen consistent increases in the number of uploaded videos.

Despite the amount of porn 2007 – 13.46 minutes onsite 2008 – 12.15 minutes onsite 2009 – 11.04 minutes onsite 2010 – 10.30 minutes onsite 2011 – 9.56 minutes onsite 2012 – 8.58 minutes onsite 2013 – 9.10 minutes onsite 2014 – 9.01 minutes onsite 2015 – 9.22 minutes onsite 2016 – 9.36 minutes onsite 2017 – 9.46 minutes onsite available, people still have their favourite sex categories they love to indulge in.

Over the last 10 years, viewers have consistently clicked on videos featuring ‘ amateurs’, ‘MILFs’ and ‘lesbians’ more than anything else on the site.

Between 2007 and 2010, ‘amateur’ porn was the most viewed category before ‘teen’ porn took the title in back in 2011.

MILFs had their moment at the top of the most-viewed between 2012 and 2014 but since 2015, ‘lesbian’ porn has retained the most viewed category crown.

Horny Yanks watch the most porn in the world but randy Brits run them a close second watching millions of hours of adult content every year.

When PornHub launched in 2007, just 1% of visitors accessed the adult website from mobile phones.

However, thanks to technological advances, now more than 75% of PornHub’s users get to their favourite pleasures on their phones.

Technology has had a huge impact on how people view their favourite pornography – when the site launched 10 years ago 99% of visitors accessed it via their desktop computer.

Back then, just 1% of people went online via their mobile phones but a steady increase has seen a huge shift.

In 2014, 46% of visitors accessed porn via their computers with 56% using their mobiles to find grot.

Android users now account for 53% of the 75% of mobile traffic, with Apple iPhone users making up the remaining 43% while just 25% of people now use their computers.

Although there are some categories which people always click on and go back to for a quick release, current events see huge spikes in certain types of adult content.

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has seen her popularity in the porn industry soar on two separate occasions.

Her now infamous sex tape with ex-boyfriend Ray-J was leaked in 2007 and which saw her crowned PornHub’s most popular porn star the following year.

Last October, she rose up the ranks again as her armed robbery in Paris saw searches for ‘ burglar’ type porn become the second-fastest growing search term.

Cuban dictator Fidel Castro survived more than 600 assassination attempts but he died last November at the age of 90.

As news of his death broke across the globe, searches for ‘Cuban maid’ spiked on the site with users frantic to get a quick fix of lusty Latin women in sex action.

US election night was one of the events of 2016 and almost as soon as Donald Trump’s victory was announced, traffic on PornHub grew by a whopping 10%.

President Trump also affected searches in January after rumours of a tape involving him in an uncompromising position began circulating.

Searches for ‘golden showers’ quickly started on the adult site and spiked by a massive 289%. Annual events aren’t protected from porn either with traditions being celebrated with a quick wank to some unusual search terms.

‘Elf’ porn rockets around the festive period with 464% growth for Santa’s little helper-themed videos around Christmas.

Christmas is PornHub’s quietest time, with Christmas Eve seeing visits plummet by 45%.

But people still manage an early morning Christmas Day present to themselves as visitors spike to 34% above the average on December 25.

Valentine’s Day also sees PornHub take a big hit as traffic to their site drops by 2007 – 134 videos uploaded 2008 – 5,369 videos uploaded 2009 – 6,743 videos uploaded 2010 – 22,882 videos uploaded 2011 – 39,688 videos uploaded 2012 – 120,517 videos uploaded 2013 – 159, 478 videos uploaded 2014 – 196, 351 videos uploaded 2015 – 281, 076 videos uploaded 2016 – 476, 291 videos uploaded their 17% after 6pm on the romantic celebration.

When Father’s Day comes around though, plenty of users flock to the sight in search of ‘dad’ or ‘daddy’ skinflicks.

Searches for both those terms go up by 1,361% – the highest increase on any search term on an annual celebratory day.

Midnight seems to be the most popular time for naughty night owls to log on and get busy to their favourite porn.

But with more than 173 years’ worth of content to scour through, maybe it should be a 24-hour job!
