Boozers’ bid for sickness payout

TWO British tourists tried to claim compensation for food poisoning but their hotel bill revealed they’d been on a NINE-DAY bender.

The unnamed couple, from Liverpool, attempted to sue Jet2holidays and the Gloria Palace Hotel in Gran Canaria over “stomach cramps and severe diarrhoea”.

They blamed it on the hotel’s buffet but it was found the pair had put away 109 drinks during their holiday in July 2015.

Jet2holidays received a letter claiming damages 15 months after the couple had returned from Gran Canaria.
