PIERS: BEZ BURGERS GOT ME HIGH! Barbie at Biggs’ gaff

-

TELLY presenter Piers Morgan claims he was SPIKED by Bez from the Happy Mondays during a BBQ at Ronnie Biggs’s house.

Piers, 52, made the confession on Good Morning Britain during an interview with Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder.

The ITV breakfast show co-host revealed Bez had once spiked his BURGER when they were partying at train robber Biggs’ house in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Talking to 52-year-old Shaun, Piers recalled the party saying: “We had a lot of laughs, a lot of fun together.

“I used to be the showbiz correspondent at The Sun and the best laugh we ever had was at Ronnie BURGER ME! Piers had fun with Bez and Biggs Biggs’ house in Rio de Janeiro at a BBQ.

“Bez from the Happy Mondays did the BBQ. I’ve never found out what he put in those burgers but I had a very, very overexcited eight hours.

“I don’t think it was chilli sauce, was it?”

Manchester band Happy Mondays played at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro in February 1991 and famously visited the Great Train robber Ronnie after their gig.

Biggs was jailed for his part in the £2.6million train robbery of 1963 but escaped from prison in 1965 and found solace in the Brazilian city.

He died in the UK in 2013.
