MAN WHO FLASHED WILLY ‘WAS JUST BURSTING FOR A WEE’ He’s fined for exposure

A MAN claimed that he had accidentally exposed himself near a school when he was caught short while out JOGGING.

James O’Brien, 46, was spotted performing a sex act on himself in an alley by a 17-year-old girl.

The car dealer told police he had been desperate for the toilet after drinking lots of fluids earlier, because he was in training to run a marathon.

The court heard O’Brien exposed himself near Forsbrook Church of England Primary School, in Stoke-on-Trent, at 8.30am on May 8 this year.

The teenager who saw O’Brien said she was walking through the area to meet a friend.

She told the court: “I was 20 metres away and saw this person facing a wall and it looked like he was having a conversation with someone.

“Then I realised he was the only person there.

“At first, I didn’t notice anything and then I noticed he had his hands around his groin. I stopped as I didn’t know what he was doing, and I thought about going back.

“As I got closer, he turned and looked at me.

“He was holding it and said, ‘It’s OK, I’m just doing my business’.

“I walked straight past him and didn’t make any eye contact. I turned around and he was looking at me.”

Dad-of-four O’Brien told the court: “I had been up since 6am and had been out for a run as I was getting ready for a marathon, so I had drank a lot of fluids.

“I had urinated in the hedge and then the girl came and I apologised.”

O’Brien, of Meir, Staffs, was fined £1,305 and given a 12-month community order after he was found guilty of exposure at North Staffordshire Justice Centre.
