A PRETTY student has been found beheaded at a popular beauty spot.

Viktoria Povesma, 20, went missing after a night out with friends, and later her severed head was found in a plastic bag.

A 29-year-old man with a history of sex attacks has been held over the girl’s horrific murder, after he confessed to the killing, according to police reports.

Missing

Viktoria, a student at Tomsk State University of Architecture and Construction – was last seen at Lagerny Garden on July 29 after going out with friends.

Her parents reported her missing on Sunday, and later that day her severed head was found beside a pond in the Botanic Gardens at Tomsk, Russia, around one mile from her last known location.

Law enforcement officials said yesterday that her remaining body parts had also been discovered.

Earlier, there were pleas on social media to help find Viktoria.

She was described as having blond hair with green eyes.

When she went missing she was wearing jeans with holes in the knees, white Reebok trainers with blue and red stripes, a black T-shirt with the word ‘Wild’ printed on the front, and a grey cardigan.

She carried a black backpack which was discovered during the police search. Her Samsung cell phone was switched off.

Viktoria had been looking forward to meeting her school friends on July 30 but never turned up.

A statement from the regional branch of the Investigative Committee said Viktora “went for a walk and did not come back.

“On Sunday her parents reported her missing and later on July 31 by the bank of a pond in the Botanic Gardens a severed head was found”.

Locals expressed horror yesterday at Viktoria’s brutal killing.

“This girl is almost a child – these beasts,” said one on social media.

Another said there were “so many deaths in the Botanic Gardens”.
