Sara signed up to host Beeb’s rural love hunt

FORGET about Love Island – Sara Cox is about to help single city dwellers find their perfect partner in muddy fields.

The TV presenter will host BBC Two’s new dating show called Love in the Countrysid­e which promises “lifechangi­ng romance”.

City folk looking for a new life will be paired up with a rural singletons.

With Love Island ending, the Beeb is hoping to capitalise on the success of ITV2’s hot reality show.

Host Sara ( above), 42, said: “As a farmer’s daughter living in the capital I’m really excited about uniting rural folks with people from the city.

“I can’t wait to journey over hill and dale, through Britain’s glorious countrysid­e on my mission to help love blossom for the people who work the land, lovingly tend their animals but may have neglected their own hearts.”

Love in the Countrysid­e will be a six-part show and already a pig farmer, a dairy farmer and an equine vet have been signed up. ALMOST one in five songs by The Beatles mentions the weather.
