Sara signed up to host Beeb’s ru­ral love hunt

FOR­GET about Love Is­land – Sara Cox is about to help sin­gle city dwellers find their per­fect part­ner in muddy fields.

The TV pre­sen­ter will host BBC Two’s new dat­ing show called Love in the Coun­try­side which prom­ises “lifechang­ing ro­mance”.

City folk look­ing for a new life will be paired up with a ru­ral sin­gle­tons.

With Love Is­land end­ing, the Beeb is hop­ing to cap­i­talise on the suc­cess of ITV2’s hot re­al­ity show.

Host Sara ( above), 42, said: “As a farmer’s daugh­ter liv­ing in the cap­i­tal I’m re­ally ex­cited about unit­ing ru­ral folks with peo­ple from the city.

“I can’t wait to jour­ney over hill and dale, through Bri­tain’s glo­ri­ous coun­try­side on my mis­sion to help love blos­som for the peo­ple who work the land, lov­ingly tend their an­i­mals but may have ne­glected their own hearts.”

Love in the Coun­try­side will be a six-part show and al­ready a pig farmer, a dairy farmer and an equine vet have been signed up. AL­MOST one in five songs by The Bea­tles men­tions the weather.
