Battered milkman has float hijacked

-

A MILKMAN lost two teeth when he was attacked and had his milk float stolen.

The attacker, who was with two other men, also stole the victim’s wallet and damaged bottles, cops in Cambridgeshire have confirmed.

The milkman, aged in his 50s, was attacked while working his round in Stanground, Peterborough at 3.45am yesterday.

He noticed a group of three men near his float, before one attempted to steal a crate of milk.

When challenged he assaulted the milkman.

The three men then hijacked the float, which was recovered around six miles away.

The unnamed victim received hospital treatment following the unprovoked attack and was later discharged.

Police are appealing for help in tracing the attackers.
