GOLDGINGER! Ed has Bond theme ready

POP star Ed Sheeran has a James Bond track ready if filmmakers ever want him to record a theme tune. After Adele’s success recording Skyfall for the 23rd instalment of the franchise, Ed, 26, now wants a slice.

Speaking on Ireland’s The Late Late Show, Ed revealed to host Ryan Tubridy that he’s had a Bond theme song prepared for years.

He said: “With Bond, I’ve had a theme tune written for about three years, just in case. It’s good, it’s good.”

However, he admitted he hasn’t actually been asked to do it and wouldn’t even share the title of his ambitious song “because someone might steal it”.

Perfect singer Ed – who’s having two tilts for the Christmas Number One slot with the same track – also revealed he’d planned a duet with rapper Eminem years before they collaborated on new album Revival.

Ed said: “I just recently did a song with one of my all-time heroes Eminem. I already had the song planned, because I was like if ever I work with Eminem, I’ve got this song.

“So it’s the same with Bond... If ever I’m called, I’ll be like, ‘ Right, here you go.’”

Crooner Ed faces competition as fellow ginger singer Paloma Faith also recently put her name forward for the gig.

Daniel Craig, 49, is set to return as the iconic spy for his fifth stint in the as-yet-untitled Bond 25 on November 8, 2019.
