Jilted lover got woman to pose then sent shot to boss

-

SCREEN SHOT: Philip Simpson got woman to pose explicitly A JILTED boyfriend has admitted sending a naked picture of his ex to her boss at the world-famous film company where she worked.

Philip Simpson, 57, persuaded the woman to pose explicitly during a FaceTime video call he made with her after telling her: “If you love me, you’ll do it.”

But he then took a screenshot of it without her knowing, and when they eventually split up he sent it to her boss, who was also a friend of hers.

The victim had flown in from California to give evidence but Philips pleaded guilty after being told that he would not go to prison.

Sentencing him for disclosing a private sexual photograph with intent to cause distress, Judge Phillip Matthews told him: “There’s absolutely no doubt in my mind that you caused very serious distress by disclosing that photograph to her friend.”

Prosecutor James Dick told Isleworth Crown Court: “Her friend received a message from the defendant which said words to the effect, ‘childish but guess the worker’ but identifying her place of work.

“He [had] told her that he wanted to see her naked and he wanted an explicit picture. She was initially resistant to the idea but he persuaded her, saying ‘if you love me you will do this’.

“It appears he took a screenshot of the video

Prosecutor Neil Ahuja said that in the summer of 2016, the woman told her parents of her on his mobile phone. She would not have expected any lasting record of it to be made.

“They had an argument over a video call, the defendant referred to broken promises and said he would always love her but he would delete her on social media.”

Simpson, of Northwood, west London was given five-months’ suspended for two years, while the judge also handed him a five-year restraining order and told him to carry out 150 hours unpaid work.
