Murdoch must lose the News to win Sky bid

(GIGI’S GOT A LITTLE SECRET!)

-

SKY News must be sold if 21st Century Fox, owned by Rupert Murdoch ( above) is to secure Government approval for an £11.7bn takeover of Sky.

Culture secretary Matt Hancock said yesterday that in order to address the concerns of the Competition and Markets Authority, he favours “divesting Sky News to a suitable third party”.

The CMA raised the possibility of “increased influence of the Murdoch Family Trust over public opinion and the UK’s political agenda” should Fox get its hands on Sky News.

Mr Hancock told Parliament he will now consult before making a final decision.

But he said if terms of a sale of Sky News cannot be agreed, the “only effective remedy now would be to block the merger altogether”.

A separate £22bn bid for Sky from U.S. broadcasting giant Comcast was cleared, setting the stage for a bidding war with Fox.

Fox is attempting to buy the 61 per cent of Sky it does not own. PRISONERS on Alcatraz always had hot showers so they didn’t get acclimatised to cold water and try to escape by swimming. STUNNING transgender model Gigi Gorgeous let her assets slip out and didn’t seem to care – as she strutted her stuff on the red carpet. The 26-year-old Canadian YouTuber wore a revealing white blazer and pants and went topless underneath, letting her impressive norks hang free. An onlooker said: “You would, wouldn’t you?!”
