2nd TEACHER HELD OVER SEX WITH TEEN PUPIL

She is the second teacher to be arrested on sex charges from the school in Ashland, Virginia, after Walter Summerfield, 45, was also charged in December last year.

Summerfield, an instructor with the school’s Navy Junior Officer Training Corps, allegedly started an inappropriate sexual relationship with a pupil during spring break.

In a statement he said: “We take these matters seriously. We became aware of the arrest this afternoon and referred it to our HR Department.

“We will continue to work closely and in full cooperation with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.”

After being arrested last week, Pauley was fired from the school but was granted a £37,500 bond.

She is not allowed to have any contact with the alleged victim or with anyone under 18 unless accompanied by their parent.

Pauley must not leave the state of Virginia without permission from the courts and she is only allowed one visit back to the school to collect her belongings.
