TODD BRIDGES
ONCE
ended its run, Todd battled cocaine addiction for several years into his 20s.
In 1988, he was arrested and tried for the attempted murder of Kenneth Tex Clay, a Los Angeles drug dealer.
Prosecutors argued Todd had shot him while he was “high” but Bridges got OJ Simpson’s attorney Johnnie Cochrane to successfully defend him.
However, the spectre of court reared its head again in 1993, when Todd was involved in an altercation with a tenant in his house after a disagreement about unpaid rent.
Todd was attacked with a sword but retaliated by stabbing his assailant in the chest with a kitchen knife. The charges were dropped after it was decided he had acted in self-defence.
Todd is the now sole survivor from the main cast.
