Kay: I just want to go home

-

BRITISH air hostess Kay Longstaff, who is thought to have leapt off the back of a cruise ship, has declared she is ready to go home after reuniting with her boyfriend.

Kay, who’s from Cheltenham, Glos, plunged into the Adriatic Sea after a drunken row with her partner Craig Rayment – and miraculously survived 10 hours in the water before being rescued.

She is thought to have jumped from the seventh deck of the Norwegian Star cruise ship as it sailed from Dubrovnik, Croatia, to Venice, Italy.

Kay, 46, told medics “What happened has happened” as she prepared to leave hospital following the emotional reunion with her partner.

Hospital director Irena Hrstic yesterday revealed that Kay said: “I want to come home as soon as possible.”

Kay ( above) credited her yoga practices with keeping her fit enough to survive in the water, and said she sang to keep herself warm while lost at sea.

An Italian source yesterday said that cops are working on the theory Kay “most likely jumped and said: “Officers spoke with the woman’s partner on the ship when it arrived in Venice.

“The footage has been viewed and you can clearly see she was there on her own when she fell.

“She was not pushed. The theory we are working on is that she most likely jumped.”
