Pals say XXX clip put ‘huge pressure’ on couple
CORONATION Street babe Faye Brookes and pop star Gareth Gates have announced their split – with pals claiming a sex tape of the brunette babe caused a rift in their romance.
Faye, 31, and 34-year-old Gareth released a statement online telling fans they’d parted ways after six years together.
Gareth said on Twitter: “Unfortunately @Faye_ Brookes and I are choosing to take some time apart. We remain the very best of friends. We’d like to Thank you for all your support over the years x”

But despite their seemingly amicable split, pals close to the pair insist a homemade sex tape starring Faye was the reason behind their break-up.
The kinky video, which was leaked online at the end of last year, showed Faye indulge in a series of X-rated acts.
At the time, Faye was reportedly “devastated” over her saucy vid being leaked but Gareth posted a defiant message and photo declaring “united we stand”.
But now one friend of the couple has claimed: “Faye was gutted over the tape being leaked.
“She was gutted and Gareth was equally as embarrassed. They tried to put it behind them but it can’t have been nice seeing it all the time.
“It put huge pressure on them, especially as nearly everyone has seen the tape.
“Eventually, they called it a day because it finally got too much for them both.”
