Halloween star Jamie: I HATE horror movies!

ACTRESS Jamie Lee Curtis says she HATES horror movies – despite being the main star in the Halloween franchise.

Jamie, 59, starred in the original Halloween movie in 1978 as Laurie and recently revived her role in the latest version of the scary flick.

Her mum, Janet Leigh, was also a scream queen in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho – but she revealed they both hate horror films.

Jamie (above) said: “I’m not a fan of the genre. It’s ironic, my mother was in Psycho, I’m in Halloween.

“My mother didn’t like scary movies and I don’t like scary movies either.”

Halloween is one of the most iconic horror franchises and the latest addition sees villain Michael Myers return to hunt down his old victim.

Playing grandmother Laurie in the new movie, Jamie says her secret to staying youthful are ‘water, sleep and Nivea cream’.
