FORGET the pasty skin, dreary political views and tie-dye sarongs – going vegan can apparently do wonders for your sex life!

But the results of a new survey are not great reading for meat eaters, who are branded “selfish” in the bedroom.

The majority of vegetarians – 57 per cent – said they make love three to four times a week, while most meat-eaters only enjoyed action between the sheets once or twice.

Nearly 84% of vegetarians report that they are satisfied in their sex lives, compared to only 59% of meat-eaters, the report says.

Nearly 500 vegetarians – of which 38% were vegans – and 500 meat-eaters were surveyed by the UK’s largest extra-marital portal, IllicitEncounters.com.

“Vegetarians eat foods that are known for their aphrodisiac properties – Maca, fenugreek leaves, ginseng, aniseed,” said IllicitEncounters.com’s Jessica Leoni.

“A host of different veggies are natural aphrodisiacs that promote sexual excitement.”

Vegetarians enjoy kissing, foreplay and dirty talk far more than meat-eaters, she added.

“Now I’m on a plantbased diet, I have more energy and I’m more open to trying out new things,” vegan Heather, 39, was quoted as saying.

Plant-based foods are heavy in zinc and B vitamins, which can increase libido.

Bananas, chickpeas and avocados are good for this.

Going vegan can also increase serotonin levels, which can boost sex drive and increase happiness.

A WOMAN was jailed for punching her boyfriend in the BOLLOCKS after he admitted cheating.

Margaret Cruz was arrested for assault causing bodily injury in the attack on her unfaithful fella.

Police responded to a call to Cruz’s home on February 24 and spoke to the couple, who said they had been living together for 11 years.

The victim reportedly told officers that he admitted to cheating on Cruz, who initially reacted by throwing all his clothes outside.

She then allegedly attacked the victim, punching him in the face before taking aim at his testicles at the home in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Cruz ( left) continued attacking him, so he had no choice but to punch her once to make her stop.

He added that Cruz’s alleged attack was painful, but he did not want to press charges.
