HAALAND HAPPY TO STAY AT BORUSSIA

- By ANDY MILLOM

ERLING Haaland says he’s in no rush to leave Borussia Dortmund.

The striker is banging in goals galore for the Germans and is being closely linked with a move to either Liverpool or one of the Manchester clubs as soon as January.

Juventus have also been sniffing around with strong rumours of a post-Christmas move for the Norwegian.

You can see why after he picked up the Golden Boy award for knocking in 44 goals in all competitions last season.

He’s only 20 and has picked up where he left off this term with ten strikes in just eight Bundesliga games this campaign.

He is on the sidelines for a couple of weeks with a hamstring issue and that has only beefed up the transfer talk.

But Haaland insists he is happy in Germany even though Dortmund’s boss Lucien Favre has just been sacked after a run of bad results.

The striker said: “I’ve been at Borussia Dortmund for a year here, I’m fine here and I’m happy.

“Have I been close to Juventus? That’s what they say, but I’ve never said it.”

There seems little chance of Haaland going to AC Milan but he has made no secret of his admiration for fellow Scandinavian Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

He said: “In my life I have had many idols, I try to learn as much as possible from the other strikers. Ibrahimovic is one of the best ever and I try to learn as much as possible from him, he is one of my idols.”

And his best pal Jens Petter Hauge is already doing well at the San

Siro. Haaland added: “Hauge is doing well and we are very good friends, he is a great talent. He plays for a beautiful club and at a very good club. He has to continue to work hard and play like that, he has a great career ahead of him. My dream is to win the Champions League.”

Manchester United would love to buy the striker but may face an issue because his agent is Mino Raiola.

He also looks after Paul Pogba and has been making noises about him leaving which has upset plenty of people at Old Trafford.
