FAKE OOHS!

70% of girls and one-third of MEN pretend to climax

SEVEN out of ten women have faked an orgasm – and a third of men too.

A new survey found that 71% of women and 31% of men have pretended to climax with a partner.

And nearly six out ten women (58%) said they had faked orgasm in the last year while stuck at home with their partner during lockdown.

Half the women surveyed (54%) said they had faked it because the sex was taking too long and they didn’t want to hurt their partner’s feelings.

Other reasons women gave for pretending were the sex was boring (37%), not in the mood (36%), too tired (35%) and drunk too much alcohol (28%).

Sparing a partner’s feelings was the main reason men fake it – chosen by 22% of those questioned, followed by having too much alcohol (20%).

One in 10 men said they had faked during a onenight stand after realising they had made a mistake.

Cheating

The results came from a new poll of 2,000 people by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people.

It found that women were eight times more likely to fake an orgasm with their husband or longterm partner than with a new lover or someone with whom they were cheating.

Men were three times more likely to pretend with their wife or long-term partner than with someone they had just started dating or having an affair with.

IllicitEncounters.com sex and relationship expert Jessica Leoni said: “There is no doubt that faking it is on the rise because so many couples have been stuck at home together for the last year having rubbish sex.

“For lots of women it is easier to fake it and get the sex over with rather than explain to their partner that they are not happy.

“The best way to stop faking orgasms is to take on a new lover. The excitement of sleeping with someone new means most people really don’t need to fake their reactions.”
