Woman fights off attacker with knife and fork

A WOMAN used a knife and fork to defend herself and then “fought like a wild animal” to prevent house guest Tomasz Przybylsli, 43, from sexually assaulting her in her flat, a court heard.

She had allowed Polish-born Przybylsli to stay with her while he was looking for a home of his own but they were just friends and never in a relationship, Gloucester crown court was told.

However, on May 28 last year, when she’d just got home from work, Przybylsli demanded sex with her.

When she refused he grabbed her and pushed her head into a bucket that she was using for food preparation, said prosecutor Emma Martin.

She had been using a large knife and fork and she fended him off with the implements.

Groping

But he then shut her out on her balcony of her Cheltenham flat for half an hour before again demanding sex, pulling down her trousers and groping her breasts and private parts, the court was told.

Przybylsli admitted a single charge of sexual assault on the woman and was ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and pay £750 compensation to his victim.

The court was told that Przybylsli had known of the woman since 2002 when he first arrived in this country.

The prosecutor said “When the woman moved to Cheltenham in September 2019 she allowed Przybylsli to stay at her flat while he looked for his own property.

“However, annoyed with him as he began drinking before the pandemic lockdown and didn’t appear to be rushing into looking for a property.

“Things came to a head on May 28, 2020, when the woman came home from work at lunchtime and within minutes he demanded to have sex with her.

“She refused and told him that they were not a couple and told him to find another woman to have sex with.

“Przybylsli grabbed the woman, pushing her head into a bucket. She had been using a large knife and a fork to chop up meat and had become so frightened by this she used these implements to fend Przybylsli off.

“She was then shut out onto the balcony and after about 30 minutes he let her back in. He was still demanding that she have sex with him and he used the phrase towards her ‘I have no respect for you, I can have sex with you whenever I like’.”

Przybylsli later left and police were called, who described the woman as being tearful and covered in bruises.

His defence told the court he was receiving mixed messages from the woman but accepts that he tried to blur the boundary between them.

THE creators of the animated Batman spin-off Harley Quinn say they were told to spike a scene where the Caped Crusader LICKS OUT Catwoman because “Heroes don’t do that”.

Series boss Justin Halpern said in an interview it was great to have so much leeway with villains but that he still got slapped down for going too far with them.

Executive producer and creator of the DC Entertainment-HBO Max hit series Justin said: “It’s incredibly gratifying to be using characters considered villains because you just have so much more leeway.

“A perfect example of that is in this third season of Harley.

“We had a moment where Batman was going down on Catwoman.

“And DC was like, ‘You can’t do that. You absolutely can NOT do that’.

“They’re like, ‘Heroes don’t do that’.

“So, we said, ‘Are you saying heroes are just selfish lovers?’

“And they were like, ‘No, it’s just that we sell consumer toys for heroes.

“It’s hard to sell a toy if Batman is also going down on someone’.”
