A MANIAC is facing animal cruelty charges after confessing to cops he decapitated his pet cat and dismembered its body.

Demented Gabriel Kekel, 20, also revealed he fantasised about killing people.

Kekel scooped up the chopped-up bits of the innocent kitty, stuffed them into jars and put them in his attic.

Captain Pat Rader, of the South Charleston police in West Virginia, said: “It’s not normal, not in any facet of life, or any part of society, or anywhere in the country.

“It’s just not what goes on. It’s pretty extraordinary.”

According to cops, they were asked to check on Kekel by his sister who was concerned her brother was bonkers.

Capt Rader said: “Our officers and Kekel started talking and he exhibited some fairly erratic behaviour.

“He started disclosing some things that were fairly bizarre, stuff you read about or maybe see in a movie.”

Kekel told officers he gave his cat some type of drug or narcotic which made the cat overdose, then cut off its head with a machete and dismembered its body.

Kekel allowed officers inside his home and brought three jars out of the attic which had animal body parts in them, including the cat’s head.

He also had jars containing a bird skull, a squirrel’s leg and other animal bones.

In another interview at the police station after his arrest, Kekel spoke about his fantasies of killing people and went into specific detail about how he would use a stun gun and then use a paracord to strangle the person.

“Kekel then stated he would dismember the torso and use the skull for DIY projects,” police noted.

Kekel, of South Charleston, has been charged with cruelty to animals.

He’s being kept in the loon wing of the South Central Regional Jail.
