CITY OFFER PLUS JESUS Guardiola willing to let Brazil striker go as Blues hunt Kane

- By PAUL THOMAS

MANCHESTER City are willing to offer £100m PLUS Gabriel Jesus for Harry Kane.

The Premier League champions have reportedly lodged their first bid for the England captain.

Tottenham want £150m for their prized asset who has failed to show up for training so far this week.

That £100m cash offer is boosted by City offering the Londoner a ready-made replacement in Brazil hitman Jesus.

He scored 14 times for the champs last season but has never been one of Pep Guardiola’s favourites.

The 24-year-old lost his place later in the campaign but he would be able to slot straight into the Tottenham side and mean boss Nuno Espirito Santo doesn’t have to panic buy in the final days of the summer transfer window.

City would ask around £70m for Jesus on the open market but are willing to throw him into the Kane deal to get it over the line.

The England skipper is expected to turn up for Spurs training before the weekend with boss Santo keeping quiet about the situation at the moment.

Kane has three years left on his deal at the new White Hart Lane but thinks he has a gentleman’s agreement to leave the club this summer.

There is some positive news for Spurs fans as Argentina centre-back Cristian Romero is close to signing from Atalanta. Tottenham have agreed a package worth around £50m with the Italians. The 23-yearold is on his way to London to complete the move.

City are desperate to spend big in this window and are hot on the heels of Jack Grealish.

The Aston Villa skipper has gone back to training in Birmingham while the champions chase him in a £100m deal.

The 25-year-old still has the armband but looks increasingly likely to leave Villa Park.

Boss Dean Smith will not stand in his way if City want to smash the British transfer record — at least until they get Kane and break it again.

Villa have moved to replace Grealish by signing Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen. He isn’t a like-for-like swap but will provide attacking quality.

CHELSEA are being frustrated in their bid to sign a big-name striker this summer.

They want Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund but the German side are digging and want to keep the Norwegian for another season.

It also looks as though Inter Milan will keep hold of former Stamford Bridge hitman Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian banged in 24 goals as the Serie A title came back to the San Siro.

Chelsea are thought to have made two offers for Lukaku with the latest being around £80m plus Marcos Alonso.

The Italians are skint but know there would be a massive fans revolt if they sold their striker. They may
