SCHOOL MISS RAN VICE RING Teacher forced teen students into sex trade
A SCHEMING teacher offered teenage runaways a place to stay – then forced them into prostitution.
Kedria Grigsby, 42, who worked at Klein Cain High School in Klein, Texas, has been charged with child trafficking and compelling prostitution of juveniles, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.
She worked with her 21-year-old son, Roger Magee, to help build a “prostitution enterprise,” according to prosecutors.
“Grigsby recruited troubled juveniles from local high schools by offering them a place to stay, which would be a hotel,” Mr Gonzalez said.
“Additional teen victims have come forward stating that Grigsby was also attempting to recruit them while attending school.”
Her arrest came nearly two years after her son was arrested on similar charges of child trafficking, sexual assault and compelling prostitution.
Investigators said they found text messages between the pair – as well others with three alleged victims, ages 15, 16 and 17 – discussing prostitution payments being made with Zelle.
The teacher also allegedly paid for a motel room, where an officer witnessed one of the alleged victims walk in and later run out.
The girl then ran to Grigsby’s car, in which at least one other alleged victim was sat, officials said.
Grigsby was ordered to not contact any of the alleged victims and could have no unsupervised interactions with minors.
She was first hired by the Klein school district for the 2019-20 school year, and “passed a state background check at the time,” a spokesperson for the district said, adding that Grigsby had been “relieved of her teaching duties”.
Parents were informed later that day that Grigsby had been arrested, when Klein ISD officials sent out an official letter.
