Adams ‘O2’ 0‑4‑4T Why’s Bembridge special? There are many classic spots on the Isle of Wight’s once-extensive railway network, but one of the most famous was also one of the first to go. The small branch line terminus at Bembridge became famous, thanks to its 25ft turntable, which enabled locomotive­s to run-round. It was only just big enough for an ‘O2’, yet it is Bembridge’s most recognisab­le feature. What’s left? Two gateposts - otherwise that’s it. Where can I find out more?
