You don’t need to mix and match Dapol kits for an enjoyable project. With some thought, you can build a kit as intended - but better! Paul Marshall-potter took C030 - the Travelling Dock Side Crane - and added girders to the crane’s superstructure, refined the windows and doors, added detail to the crane body and chassis, substituted the coarse curved roof with a flat one, added flush glazing and, perhaps most noticeably, a clamshell bucket, among many other improvements.
