Revolution Trains’ ‘Class B’ oil tanker is to enter production… although the decision to do it was ac lose run thing. The model was proposed in November 2016 (MR228) and it appeared that orders would not reach the minimum number needed to fund production. However, the figure was reached in late February and work has now started. The ‘Class B’ was introduced by BR in 1957, and Revolution’s model, which will be produced by Rapido Trains, will feature similar levels of detail to the TEA bogie tanker, with photo-etched catwalks and ladders, and numerous separately fitted parts representing brake and discharge gear.
