HOW TO DO IT:TEST THE SYSTEM

This view shows the temporary track standing on the layout. Here, the carriage is attached to the nylon line and tested with the motorised crank arm connected to the power. Note the rail extension at the lower end of the track. Construct a permanent base for the track. The cliff top building is constructed from balsawood, rigid foam and filler. Piano wire is glued across the end of the track to reduce friction on the nylon line. Fuse wire is used to form the hook. The funicular is fastened to the layout with small screws, as shown here on the lower building.
