Hayle Wharves Swing Bridge has a separate winding house, as shown on the plan below, containing a chain-driven winding mechanism and a brake lever (the elevation labels aren’t relevant to this makeover). Modellers may prefer this interpretation using a Dapol hut from the Trackside accessories pack, in which case you’ll need to remove parts 7 and 54 and the short protruding wooden walkway supporting it from the main deck.
