“A friend of mine, George Woodcock, is an ex-lorry driver. He told me that I could make this Base Toys Leyland FG into a Morris FG,” says Stuart. “They were built from 1960 until 1968 - when the company became British Leyland. “I sourced some images online and noticed that they were painted in some weird and wonderful colours - so I picked one at random, repainted it and weathered it. “I try to be consistent. You see some great layouts, but with some pristine cars, fresh from the box. They simply don’t fit in, so I always try to repaint and weather mine.”
