During the refresh, the club took the opportunity to add as much detail as possible. One area that received attention was the signals. “They now work,” says Alan. “We sourced a book on GWR signalling and used it for reference as to how the layout should be signalled. “Two of our members, Dick Sulch and Richard Harper, constructed the signals from MSE parts - with relay operation. Point rodding was researched, too. The idea was to create an above-average, representation of a railway.”
